Carole Pound

Innovation Projects Manager

Carole is Director of Innovation at Connect. She has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist in hospitals, rehabilitation and university settings. Her interests include developing therapies that address the long term communication, identity and lifestyle issues of living with a disability, supporting others to develop communication access and working with people with aphasia to create more inclusive structures and communities. Carole has co-authored and edited various publications relating to living with aphasia. These include 'Beyond Aphasia', 'Aphasia Inside Out', 'The Aphasia Therapy Files', and the latest edition of the 'Stroke and Aphasia Handbook.' She has contributed to undergraduate and post-graduate training over many years.
