Our supporters

Luke Mann, 12 years, talked about aphasia in his school assembly during December. The pupils of Westminster Under School raised funds in support of Connect.
Connect was one of the three charities to benefit from the Readathon 2006 an annual event at Westminster during which boys are sponsored to read books.
We are very grateful to the boys from Westminster Under School who nominated Connect to benefit from their Readathon which took place over Christmas Holidays. Apart from raising precious funds for our programmes, children and their parents had the opportunity to learn about aphasia and Connect.
Because aphasia is a communication disability it can have a devastating effect on families. When a parent or grandparent develops aphasia children are often left feeling lost and confused, isolated from their loved ones. By learning to communicate creatively and clearly children can play an important role in maintaining family cohesion, improving the quality of life for all involved.
