Information and Introductions Project

People with aphasia and their relatives often find it difficult to access clear, meaningful information about aphasia. The project will enable people with aphasa to access information and get support.

Volunteer Carol talks to Margaret who has aphasia

Margaret, who has aphasia, shares her experience of communication disability with Connect volunteer Carol Lewis.

The project will provide people living with aphasia with opportunities to socialise, share tips and ideas with one another and to begin to think about life after stroke. People living with aphasia will play an important role in this project as "welcomers". They will meet and greet people new to Connect and offer that much needed peer support. People living with aphasia have also played a key role in develeoping and implementing the project. To find out more about the the Connect-a-Day events in events for people with aphasia
