The Arts Access Project
This project looked at how arts organisations could widen access to their galleries and education opportunities by thinking about communication access. A team of people with aphasia worked with artists and art educators from the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern and other arts institutions to think about ways to include people with communication disability in workshops, talks and gallery visits. The end result was a handy ideas guide for arts organisations and those keen to get the most out of what's on offer at local galleries and museums.

As a result of this project more people with aphasia are attending art workshops and volunteering independently at local organisations.
