The Working Together Project

This two year project supported by the King's Fund allowed us to explore what it takes to involve people with aphasia in decision making and the day to day business of an organisation. We recruited a person with aphasia, Alan Hewitt, to the newly created post of Working Together Co-ordinator. Alan helped us facilitate the involvement of people with aphasia in the development of Connect. He also set up and chaired the Live Wire Forum, a group of people with aphasia who advised us on ways to involve people with aphasia authentically in all aspects of our work.
