Learn how to set up your own conversation partner scheme where trained volunteers visit people with aphasia in their homes for supported conversation.

Supports isolated people with aphasia and helps them re-connect with life.

Our training package includes

  • Toolkit
  • Everything you need to set up a scheme, train your volunteers and evaluate the service
  • A CD and DVD of resources to help you through the process.

Training

  • Revisit your own communication skills and learn how to train others to improve their skills
  • Learn how to recruit, supervise, manage and support volunteers
  • Practise and discuss the process of setting up a scheme with others
  • Gain skills to successfully manage the organisation and administration needed for the scheme
  • Learn how to evaluate the scheme and report back to others.
